The Port Fairy Historical Society has a very active archival service and genealogical information can be researched on your behalf by application. The research service is available for tracing family, business or for general information. Our Society holds extensive archives for this purpose and our volunteer archivists are experienced in the field.
Archivists are available by appointment. Due to the nature of our collection and archives, self research is not possible however, we welcome researchers to use our extensive archives with the help of our archivists.
No research service is available during the Port Fairy Folk Festival weekend as our researchers volunteer behind the scenes for some three weeks before and during the festival.
Research Costs:
Simple research: $40
More complex enquiries will cost more.
Our researchers will contact you before beginning this type of research.
Copies of photographs of pioneers, where available, are at a cost.
Requests for copies of any other photographs must be submitted in writing.
